As 2020 comes to a close, Valley Leadership’s Impact Maker – and the leaders and community organizations who power its work to strengthen Arizona – has had a busy year. To get into the holiday spirit, we’re looking back on the difference they’ve made and counting them down as 12 Days of Impact.

U.S. Bank today announced $100,000 in donations to Valley Leadership as part of its $15 million U.S. Bank Foundation Rebuild and Transform Fund, addressing systemic racial inequities in small business, housing and workforce advancement.

I keep thinking about a proverb that Jack McCain learned when he was in Afghanistan: drop by drop, a river is made. He acknowledged, as so many of us have, that change can take time, but those small changes add up. Our Impact Maker teams work on big, challenging issues that can mean rethinking how our systems are made – and they’ve been busy in these last few months. Drop by drop, they’re having impact and making progress.
