Empowering People Who Get Things Done for Arizona

Are you ready to make a difference? When you say yes, we’ll take you on a journey. It starts with learning and development to help you build a foundation to better understand yourself, your leadership skills and the issues facing Arizona. You’ll then have the opportunity to put your leadership to the test and take action on the most pressing issues facing our state through Impact Maker.

Leadership Programming

We’ve been strengthening Arizona leaders for over 40 years. How we prepare leaders is guided by our Principles of Doing – to lead most effectively in Arizona. And, no matter how you engage with us, you’ll come away with new skills and experiences, new connections, broader perspective and a personal plan for how you’ll make a difference going forward.

Impact Maker

We launched Impact Maker as a collaborative space to solve challenges together, with a commitment to long-term change that strengthens Arizona. We invite all Valley Leadership alumni to support and join this effort, working with community champions and experts to create and execute thoughtful, strategic solutions to issues that matter most to Arizona.

What’s Happening at VL

Valley Leadership is excited to welcome Briana Clark as our new Director of Strategic Initiatives! A passionate Arizona native with a strong background in education and nonprofit work, Briana is dedicated to addressing challenges in education and child well-being across the state. With her leadership, we look forward to empowering communities and advancing equal opportunities for Arizona students.
Juanita “Nita” Francis, Vince Roig, and Calvin Goode will be Valley Leadership’s 75th Arizona Leaders of the Year, formally known as Man & Woman of the Year. The three were selected because of their commitment to addressing Arizona’s most pressing issues, track record of community engagement, and alignment with Valley Leadership’s Principles of Doing.
113 Arizonans have been selected for the fourth Catalyze class. During the 6-month program, participants grow their connections to the people and issues that impact Arizona, while gaining new skills and experiences.
