Explore Class 3’s second trip spent two days in “Ambos Nogales” (Spanish for “both Nogales”), which refers to the connecting border cities in Arizona and Mexico! The significance of this region for our larger state cannot be overstated, and there is an endless well of knowledge to gain during our visit.

Explore Class 3 kicked off their programming with a foundations day at The Studios at Mesa City Center! The cohort learned more about the AZ’s rich history, built connections with their fellow leaders, and set the stage to foster positive impact throughout various Arizona communities.
Thirteen Arizonans from the Valley Leadership alumni have been chosen for the third Explore program class. They will travel 1,700 miles to six communities across Arizona, engaging with 90 partners to understand diverse local issues. The program, running March to June and visits six different rural, urban, suburban, border and Native communities.
99 Arizonans have been selected for the third Catalyze class. During the 6-month program, participants grow their connections to the people and issues that impact Arizona, while gaining new skills and experiences.
Explore Class 2 took the program’s 5th trip to Buckeye last week to learn more about economic development, local small business entrepreneurship, and all things sustainability.
Explore Class 2 recently traveled to Mesa, where participants had the chance to learn about the community’s focus on arts and culture, affordable housing efforts, economic development and immersive media experiences at the ASU MIX Center!
