Showcasing our honorees’ track records of impact and commitment to the success of our state, the event is an opportunity to connect with, be inspired by and find new opportunities to collaborate with those who have stewarded impact and long-term change in our community.

Reyna Montoya founder of Aliento, has been an advocate on the local, state and national level for Dreamers & underrepresented communities since she was 19. In 2016, she founded Aliento, a youth-led organization that serves undocumented, DACA, and mixed immigration status families to transform trauma into hope and action. Aliento strategically organized a non-partisan coalition to empower the Arizona State Legislature to refer Prop. 308 to the ballot. If it passes in November, it will enable Arizona Dreamers to pay in-state tuition.
Dr. Chad Gestson, the Superintendent of the Phoenix Union High School District since the fall of 2015, is dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for all children in the valley. A Teach for America alum, he began his education career in 2001. As the principal of Camelback High School, he launched the first and only Montessori high school in Arizona.
