Valley Leadership Seeks Applications for $8,000 Grant Opportunity

Valley Leadership Youth, class of 2017, is offering an $8,000-dollar grant opportunity to nonprofits as part of a program training high school students to be philanthropic leaders in the community.

The focus of this year’s grant is funding nonprofit organizations that specialize in mental health care or arts programs for 9th-12th graders in Arizona. The students participating in Valley Leadership Youth decided on the focus of the grant and designed the application criteria. The 2017 class will decide which organization will receive the grant.

The public is invited to observe the process of how the Valley Leadership Youth leaders-in-training, select and award the grant. The group will announce the award recipient on April 10th, 9 a.m. – noon at Valley of the Sun United Way 3200 E Camelback Rd #375, Phoenix, AZ 85018.
