CSI Experience Tour

Description: The "CSI Experience" is an interactive, hands-on program that has been developed by the Crime Scene Response Unit of the Phoenix Police Department's Laboratory Services Bureau to give citizens the opportunity to get a first-hand look at what Crime Scene Specialists really do.

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Tour
Date: May 21, 2010

Location: Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Administration Offices - 5835 S. Sossaman Rd., Mesa 85212
Description: With three expansive runways, a newly remodeled passenger terminal and convenient parking, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is positioned to be a dynamic reliever airport to Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport. This tour will include a brief presentation about the history, current activities and future growth of Gateway, as well as an airside ramp tour and a visit to the passenger terminal.

These day trips are open to all Valley Leadership alumni, current class members and their respective families. For each tour, participants will meet in the Valley Leadership office parking lot at 8 AM. Event costs are "on your own," including transportation, meals, fees, etc.

Behind-the-Scenes Tour of Verrado

Description: Verrado is a luxury custom home builder in the foothills of the White Tank Mountains. It is designed as a hometown that seeks to inspire, invite involvement and simply let you be you. Spend the morning with town manager, Todd Hornback, VL Class 23, as he discusses the development of a community from the ground up and answers your questions. Lunch will follow at The Verrado Grille, located in the Raven Clubhouse (optional and on your own).

Project C.U.R.E.

Description: PROJECT C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief & Equipment) was founded in 1987 to help meet the need for medical supplies, equipment and services around the world. PROJECT C.U.R.E. builds sustainable healthcare infrastructure by providing the medical supplies and equipment that medical personnel need to deliver healthcare to their communities. Since its inception, PROJECT C.U.R.E. has delivered medical relief to needy people in more than 120 countries.
