Frank McCune
Executive Director
Frank McCune, a native of the southwest and a 20-year professional in public affairs, marketing and nonprofit management. Mr. McCune began his career in marketing and business planning for Accenture Consulting working in the aerospace, telecommunications and manufacturing industries. He has served as chief of staff for a city council member and was managing partner for four years of an Hispanic marketing and public relations company in Texas. Most recently, he worked in insurance and financial services in Tucson.
Frank most recently was on the executive committee of Greater Tucson Leadership, and has served on the boards of Junior Achievement of Southern Arizona and the Tucson Zoological Society. He also is a graduate of Greater Tucson Leadership Spring 2007, Leadership Houston Class XVI and The Coro Foundation Public Affairs Fellowship. Frank earned his BA in communication from Arizona State University and his MS in Political Science from Illinois State University.
Beth Thomson-Gorman
Program Manager
Beth Thomson-Gorman is Valley Leadership's Program Manager. She brings more than 20 years of non-profit experience to her role at Valley Leadership. Her primary areas of responsibility include managing the Leadership Institute program and overseeing the organization's financial management. Ms. Thomson-Gorman previously served as Business Manager with the West Valley and Chris-Town YMCA's for 15 years before joining the staff of Valley Leadership in 2001. Originally from Minnesota, she studied business at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
