Frank McCune
Executive Director
Born in Gallup, New Mexico and raised in Northern Arizona, Frank has 25 years professional experience in public affairs, marketing and nonprofit management. He began his career in marketing and business planning for Accenture Consulting working in the aerospace, telecommunications and manufacturing industries. He has worked in the municipal government, public relations, lobbying, insurance and financial services fields.
Frank serves on Arizona State University’s National Alumni Council, as a community advisor to the Junior League of Phoenix, and as a member of the National Bank of Arizona's Nonprofit Advisory Council. He earned his BA in Communication from Arizona State University, his MS in Political Science from Illinois State University and was a CORO Foundation Public Affairs Fellow. Frank enjoys travel to the far reaches of the globe as well as exploring the deserts, mountains and valleys of Arizona.
Craig Plenn
Program & Event Coordinator
Craig Plenn is Valley Leadership's Program & Event Coordinator. Originally from Willingboro, NJ, he has lived and worked in Arizona since 1993. Craig graduated from Arizona State University in 1999 with a BA in Sociology, with a focus on Urban Studies. Craig has over 10 years of experience working with youth and adults, focusing on education and leadership development, as well as managing volunteers in the nonprofit sector. Craig is married and has three young daughters, and he enjoys volunteering in his daughters' school classrooms and Church community. He is also an avid runner, and races in 5Ks, marathons and all distances in between.
Meggie Butzow
Office & Communications Coordinator
Meggie Butzow serves as the Office & Communications Coordinator for Valley Leadership. Meggie is new to the Valley, having just relocated to the area in January 2011. She is originally from Elgin, IL, and spent the previous eight years in Nashville, TN, where she graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2006 with a BA in American & Southern Studies and English. She earned her Masters in Sport Administration from Belmont University in 2010. Meggie has over five years of experience in facility and event operations in collegiate athletics and has worked in several other capacities, including office support for a major university development office. She appreciates the opportunities provided by Valley Leadership to learn about and explore the Phoenix area.
