Alison J. Rapping
Executive Director
Alison J. Rapping is the Executive Director of Valley Leadership. A recognized leader in the non-profit community, she brings more than 15 years non-profit experience to her management role. She is responsible for providing the strategic direction for the organization, managing an extensive volunteer structure including the Board of Directors, and raising resources to support year-round programs and activities. Prior to joining Valley Leadership, Ms. Rapping served as the Executive Director of the Amblyopia Foundation of America and CEO of the Alliance for Arizona Nonprofits, where she oversaw the successful launch of this new statewide organization focused on promoting, supporting and serving Arizona’s nonprofit community. She invested 11 years of her professional career with Make A Difference, a nonprofit dedicated to mobilizing volunteers and developing and managing innovative community programs. See More
Beth Thomson-Gorman
Program Manager
Beth Thomson-Gorman is Valley Leadership’s Program Manager. She brings more than 20 years of non-profit experience to her role at Valley Leadership. Her primary areas of responsibility include managing the Leadership Institute program and overseeing the organization’s financial management. Ms. Thomson-Gorman previously served as Business Manager with the West Valley and Chris-Town YMCA’s for 15 years before joining the staff of Valley Leadership in 2001. Originally from Minnesota, she studied business at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Lindsay Moore
Administrative Assistant
Lindsay Moore, Administrative Assistant, joined Valley Leadership in August 2004. She is responsible for supporting the Executive Director, the Board of Directors and other volunteer committees. In addition, she assists program staff with organizational and community programs and activities. Ms. Moore came from Vision Service Plan in Sacramento California where she was a Customer Service Representative. Her customer service and administrative assistant experience span 11 years.
Doreen Pollack
Program Initiatives Consultant
Doreen Pollack brings more than 30-years of private and public sector experience to her role as Valley Leadership’s Program Initiatives Manager. Her main responsibilities include overseeing Valley Teen Leadership Programs and other emerging initiatives. Prior to Valley Leadership, Ms. Pollack committed two and a half decades to the Financial Services Industry. A native of Illinois, she moved to the Phoenix area in 1997. She is actively engaged in her neighborhood association.
Lisa Rolland
Program Coordinator/Make a Difference AmeriCorps Member
Lisa Rolland joined the staff of Valley Leadership in October 2007 as a Make a Difference AmeriCorps member. Rolland is responsible for supporting Valley Leadership’s alumni engagement activities and several new program initiatives. In addition, she assists with the management and implementation of the Leadership Institute and Valley Teen Leadership programs. Rolland graduated with honors with a B.A. in Media Arts from the University of Arizona, Tucson in May 2007.
